Cats face undefeated Cobras in Div 2 Semi-Final
London Cobra's 32 – Cambridgeshire Cats 0

The Cats 2008 season reached a critical point on Sunday when they played the London Cobra's in the BAFL Division 2 semi-final.

In a keenly contested game, the Cats were unable to breach the defense of the undefeated Cobra's in their first offensive drive and the first play of the Cobra's next drive signaled their intent & athleticism with a long pass for a big gain. After some quality passes from the Cobra's QB, the Cats were facing a scoreline of 24-0 at half-time.

Despite a much improved performance in the second half as the Cats got to grips with the youthful Cobra's side, again they were unable to breach the Cobra's endzone and another good passing move with a 2 point conversion in the 4th quarter saw the Cobra's extend their lead to 32-0 which is how the game finished.

The Cambridgeshire Cats will be back be starting training for the 2009 season in late October, ready to launch a fresh assault on the divison title.

We would like to thank all of our supporters who made the trip down to London to cheer us on and backed us 100% all the way, as well as anyone who supported us in what has been a successful season for the Cats.
